Roshi's Ramblings

Documenting things I document

This Thursday is the Power Management Test Day for Fedora 20. We'll be testing all those features we take for granted - Suspend, Hibernate, backlight control and everything affecting battery life - which is important for those of us laptop users.

One issue that Fedora 20 has been giving me recently is a lack of control for my screen brightness - which gets really annoying. It also makes your battery life worse, often by hours. So if you care about battery life for Fedora 20 (at least on this Lenovo W530), come to the test day.

According to the wiki, you would be able to run through the entire test matrix in 55 minutes (which I think is pretty impressive). This is of course assuming you don't run into any bugs :)

If you have 55 minutes this Thursday, come drop by #fedora-test-day on Freenode - we'd love to have you!
